Streaming film service Mubi added to Sony Australia’s roster
Sony Australia has included Mubi to its roster of on-demand and subscription movie services as of today.
Available on Sony’s Bravia internet TVs, blu-ray players and home theatre systems, Mubi joins film services Quickflix and Video Unlimited.
Mubi‘s streaming selection will focus on independent, international and classic films, at a price of $9.95 a month. The service is first offering a 30 day free trial.
Sharon Ashworth, Sony Australia’s content partnership manager said: “The addition of Mubi to our growing collection of on-demand channels means there is now the broadest selection of quality film content available for our customers to choose from. Classic movies, art house films and recent Hollywood blockbusters, all available to stream on-demand, directly to your compatible Bravia TV or Sony Blu-ray player. Driving the revolution in the way we watch TV, Mubi is just another example of Sony continuing to deliver the best TV experience; the best picture quality and the best range of quality content. It’s all on-demand and ready to enjoy as soon as the device is connected to the internet, no apps to download or install.”
Mubi joins 28 other internet TV channels including Billabong, ABC iView, SBS, Plus7, WiggleTime! on the Sony Entertainment Network.
This is nothing – wait till the really big WWW monster gets here & gobbles up everything within sight – FTATV included. Wonder how smug the mugs who purchased the 9 Network are feeling right now?
Then again it wasn’t as if it’s their own money.
