StudioCanal Australia/NZ hires new director of TV and digital sales

The former executive VP of distribution for Southern Cross Austereo has been appointed the as StudioCanal’s director of TV and digital sales.
Tim Stuart will start effective immediately.

The announcement:

Robert Slaviero, CEO, StudioCanal Australia/NZ, has announced the appointment of Tim Stuart as Director of TV/Digital sales for StudioCanal Australia/NZ and Tandem Communications Asia Pacific. Stuart is based in its Sydney, Australia office.

Stuart will concentrate on strategic sales and development throughout the Pacific Rim for the extensive StudioCanal feature library and Tandem Communications content.

Robert Slaviero said, “The digital entertainment world has opened a wide number of windows and platforms, and Tim has the right brand of experience to manage these challenges and I am delighted he has joined our team”.

Stuart arrives at this newly created role with over 22 years of experience in the entertainment industry. Stuarts’s previous appointments include Vice President, Asia Pacific at Lionsgate, where he was instrumental in closing Asian pan-regional and Pacific Rim supply of the multi-award winning series Mad Men, Weeds and Nurse Jackie and digital sales of Lionsgate’s 12,000 theatrical released titles through the digital spectrum.

Other roles include Director, Asia Pacific at CBS Paramount, Head of Television at Becker / Dendy and most recently Executive Vice President, Distribution at Southern Cross Austereo

Stuart’s appointment is effective immediately.
