Sunny Advertising co-founder launches AI firm

Partner and co-founder of Sunny Advertising, Matt Travers, has unveiled his latest business venture, entering the AI space with a new strategy and implementation firm.

Designed to “transform” how brands and marketers leverage artificial intelligence as a competitive advantage, the new firm – Braive – comes as an “inevitable progression” for Travers.

“After 15 years of shaping marketing and media strategies across traditional and digital landscapes for major brands, launching BRAIVE represents a natural intersection of my passion for AI’s potential and my love of marketing,” he explained.

“While many rushed to enter the AI space during its initial surge, we deliberately chose a measured approach – investing time in comprehensive research, rigorous testing, and developing service offerings that will deliver tangible profitability improvements for brands.”

Braive is described to equip clients with customised roadmaps, tools, training, and measurements that will transform AI from a buzzword, into a genuine business accelerator, while also doing the “heavy lifting” of implementation.

“BRAIVE’s approach builds on an established track record at Sunny of helping organisations achieve exceptional sales-driven outcomes through highly strategic, practical, no-nonsense solutions,” Travers added.

The announcement comes following Travers’ six-year tenure at Sunny Advertising, during which time he helped the agency grow from a boutique operation to an “indie powerhouse”. Over the past 12 months in particular, he has been building deliverable AI-driven solutions in the marketing sector.

Travers will remain as a partner and major advisor to Sunny Advertising, whilst taking on this new venture.

Managing director of Sunny Advertising, Roger Delaney, said the finalisation of Braive was the end result of “a lot of work and research”.

“We are really excited for Matt, he has been at the forefront of AI exploration and implementation, especially when it comes to marketing. He has consistently proven to be ahead of the curve in identifying its potential and building solutions for our industry,” Delaney said.

His deep expertise has, and will continue to be, invaluable to Sunny Advertising. As the world continues to adopt the latest AI practices, we are pleased to have someone like Matt as our main conduit to this ever evolving industry.”

The news comes as Sunny Advertising’s long-term employee Sarah McNeil settles into her new role as chief executive officer. Announced last month, McNeil stepped into the position on February 1 after over a decade with the business.

“I can’t think of anyone I would rather lead us into the future than Sarah, she will play an incredibly important role in driving the business to new levels both now and in the years to come,” Delaney said at the time.
