Superhero promotes Chris Whitnall to CMO

Share trading platform Superhero has promoted Chris Whitnall to chief marketing officer on the back of its continued expansion.

The Australian start-up, which launched in 2020, first hired Whitnall some 18 months ago as its first head of marketing to help expand its position in the competitive local market.

“Can’t wait to get stuck in and build on the great work the team have done in building the business and the Superhero brand,” he said at the time.

Whitnall served as head of media at the ABC for four years before joining the fin-tech and prior to that was OMD’s strategy lead on a slew of high-profile brands, including Stan and Telstra.

Superhero has an aggressive expansion plan in both the APAC market and further afield.
