Sydney Water launches two new spots with Shane Jacobson

Sydney Water has added two new spots to its ‘Turn it Off’ campaign featuring Shane Jacobson via Clemenger BBDO Sydney.

The new spots feature Jacobson’s character ‘Bob’, with spots ‘Cricket’ and ‘Bobland’. The Cricket spot was launched during The Ashes and featuring cricketer Brett Lee.

The 30-second spot sees Bob explain that his street is hosting a cricket match with the Evens playing the Odds. Bob then decides to water down the cricket pitch, before his neighbours and Lee tell him to “Turn it off, Bob.”

Clemenger BBDO Sydney executive creative director Brendan Willenberg said: “It’s been another tough year of COVID restrictions, so we knew that bringing Bob back and using a light-hearted approach to encourage better water usage was going to be key. Bobland and Cricket are the 2nd and 3rd spots in this campaign that has been amazingly received by the public. I also got to meet Binga which is a life goal.”

The campaign is running across TV, OOH, digital and social channels.

Sydney Water first launched the ‘Turn it off, Bob‘ campaign in June last year.
