TAB marks contribution of women to horse racing with #NotOneDay campaign

TAB will celebrate the women in horse racing today by renaming each race at the Royal Randwick racecourse after a woman who has made a significant contribution to the industry.

The activation forms part of an integrated campaign which kicked off on International Women’s Day on Monday, with a social media and television ad which recognises the ongoing efforts of women in the racing industry.

“Not One Day recognises the outstanding women who have shaped the racing industry over the years but also acknowledges all those who continue to do so right now. We’re proud of this important piece of work because it is a celebration of women in the industry not just today but every day,” said M&C Saatchi executive creative director, Mandie van der Merwe.

The campaign pushes the tag #NotOneDay to recognise women beyond the single event of International Women’s Day. The campaign will run throughout the next several months, involving a broadcast buy on Sky Racing and Youtube by OMD, social, digital, press, retail media, and out-of-home.

Luke Waldren, EGM – marketing, customer and product at TAB said: “For the last 64 years at TAB, we’ve watched racing make the kind of strides that are the envy of all sports when it comes to women. It’s one of the many reasons we continue to back and celebrate an industry that’s leading the way.”

M&C Saatchi creative, Laura Brown, added: “Having the opportunity to support and celebrate some of the remarkable women in the racing industry has been an incredibly rewarding experience. We believe these stories of drive and resilience are worth sharing and we’re excited to keep telling them throughout the year.”
