Tabcorp campaign calls punters to action for return of Autumn footy and racing

TAB TVC VisualTAB is promoting the return of Group 1 racing, as well as the kickoff of the AFL and NRL seasons, with a new campaign which sees men dragged away from their summer activities such as swimming and barbecuing to follow the action of winter sports at their local TAB.

Created by Whybin\TBWA Group Sydney, ‘The Action’s Calling’ campaign celebrates the end of summer by heralding the return of winter based sports, where all the action can be followed at the TAB.

Whybin\TBWA’s group head Adam Lee said: “Australians love sport – it’s in their DNA, and Autumn is an exciting time of year for sport-loving punters. It heralds the start of the footy season, and the return of Group 1 racing with the Autumn Carnival. TAB is letting people know that Summer is over and it’s time to get back to the excitement they’ve been missing.”

TAB GM of wagering marketing Tracy Marshment said: “We know that betting is a very social activity for our customers, and whether you’re betting on your mobile at a BBQ or in one of our TAB venues, the TAB is calling friends to get together and enjoy the return of footy and Group 1 racing.”

The fully integrated campaign will be supported via multiple channels including TV, digital, social, press, point-of-sale, outdoor, radio and CRM.
