Tank rebrands Loop 8 Architects

Melbourne’s Loop 8 Architects has received a rebrand through brand agency TANK.

TANK BRAND AGENCY REBRANDS LOOP8 ARCHITECTS

Award winning Australian brand agency TANK has repositioned Melbourne-based Loop 8 Architects by creating a contemporary identity platform for Loop 8 that would evolve over time.

TANK’s response was to design a brand identity which worked on multiple levels: a symbol communicating Loop 8’s collaborative approach and a living brandmark that could embrace new colours and photography providing a dynamic device capable of showcasing work as well as positioning the business in Melbourne’s competitive architectural services category.

The brandmark highlighted Glenn and his team’s collaborative ethos. The figure 8 became a symbol to communicate Loop 8’s methodology, a visual device showcasing the continuous links through their work and a living, fluid symbol that could evolve over time and surprise the viewer each time they saw it.

According to Jim Antonopoulos, Executive Creative Director of TANK, “We were delighted to work with an architectural firm with a collaborative philosophy similar to our own. Our strategy included the development of a brand identity that was both meaningful and will continually evolve, just like a good business relationship, keeping the visual imagery contemporary and fresh over the years to come. We worked with Glenn and his business development consultant Jo Gilbert to understand the business and develop an identity that was both unique and meaningful.”

The rebrand was designed to achieve increased brand recognition and awareness in the industry, to reinforce the brand consistently through printed and digital mediums to enable the firm to further business development strategies and market themselves effectively.

Loop 8’s principal Architect, Glenn Irwin said, “We have been incredibly impressed with TANK’s methodology in making the visual identity speak louder than words, bringing our core business to life visually. The team at TANK have drilled right down into the core of our business and highlighted the key element that set us apart,” he said.
