TEG acquires sports and entertainment startup FAN+

TEG has acquired sports and entertainment startup FAN+, founded by Rod Harys and Aaron Warburton, with investment a who’s who of Australia’s business and sporting leaders.

A start-up founded by Rod Harys and CEO of the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs Aaron Warburton has been acquired by TEG. 2023 will be an exciting year for FAN+ with the 51% majority stake by TEG, FAN+ will be rolled into the TEG brand Ticketek.

TEG, a global leader in live entertainment, ticketing and data, has acquired a majority stake in Australian startup, FAN+. FAN+ offers a range of personalised live entertainment experiences with some of Australia’s leading sporting and entertainment talent.

The addition of FAN+ is the next evolution of TEG’s live entertainment model. It will bring the demand for personalised content to life by leveraging the TEG portfolio of live events.

“AT TEG we believe nothing beats the live experience and to be able to personalise that live experience with a FAN+ moment is the perfect extension of our offering,” said Geoff Jones, CEO, TEG.

The TEG vision is to extend on its live content offering of concerts, sporting events and theatre.

Following an integration project in 2023 with TEG’s ticketing arm, Ticketek, fans will be able to add on a personalised FAN+ experience, be that the addition of a backstage tour, a seat at pre-show sound check, attending a production’s opening night launch party, or tossing the coin at your favourite team’s next sporting match.

Rod Harys, CEO and founder of FAN+, says the acquisition will enable the business to scale and fans to access a whole new world of personalised entertainment they previously thought out of reach.
