Ten adds Anna Heinrich, Kate Peck and Beau Ryan to Melbourne Cup reporting lineup

Ten has made another announcement in the lead up to its Melbourne Cup coverage, this time adding ex-The Bachelor winner Anna Heinrich, model and presenter Kate Peck and, soon-to-be host of The Amazing Race Australia Beau Ryan to its reporting lineup.

They join Ten’s Matt White and Roz Kelly, expert commentator Peter Moody, form expert David Gately, racing reporters Michael Felgate and Caty Price, horseback interviewer Brittany Taylor, and racing royalty Francesca Cumani who were previously announced by the network.

The coverage will span over four days from the AAMI Victoria Derby Day on November 2 to the Seppelt Wines Stakes Day on November 9, including the Lexus Melbourne Cup Day and the Kennedy Oaks Day.

Heinrich, who also appears in Trial By Kyle alongside Kyle Sandilands for the network, will act as fashion reporter, while Peck and Ryan will cover celebrity and fashion from the Birdcage marquee at Flemington. They’ll also cover Myer Fashions on the Field at The Park.

Last year saw Sam Smith headline the Melbourne Cup entertainment schedule, while this year it’s rumoured that Taylor Swift, Camila Cabello or Shawn Mendes are in talks for the spot.

The Loop’s Scott Tweedie will also be on hand as roving report for the coverage.

“A huge part of the Melbourne Cup Carnival is the fashion, the celebrity spotting and all the glitz and glamour that truly makes it one of the best events on the Australian sporting calendar,” said White.

“You’ve already heard about our incredible team of racing experts, and now I’m thrilled that we have assembled such a talented bunch of reporters to bring viewers all the colourful action from around the track.”

Ten acquired the rights for the Melbourne Cup for five years for $100m in 2018 from previous holder Seven. Seven still holds the majority of the horse racing rights in Australia through both its own coverage and joint venture Racing.com.
