Ten announces weekend news line-up

Network Ten has finalised its new weekend line-up, with Natarsha Belling and Matt Doran to front the extended national News at Five show, which begins next month.
Ex-Weather Channel and National Geographic meteorologist and journalist Magdalena Roze also joins the team to report on the weather. Rob Canning will cover sport.
The 90-minute bulletin will bring the weekend in line with the weeknight News at Five bulletin.
The program was announced in March, after Ten shifted its local bulletin from 5pm to 6pm and Nien quickly capitalised and grabbed the audience. At the time Ten’s chief programming officer David Mott said: “We have long held a prominent news position at 5pm in the weekend schedule and we are not willing to give up that ground any longer.”
In today’s announcement, Belling said: “For many years Ten has led the way in providing our viewers with a fantastic news service at Five and now we will deliver that same great product seven days a week.”
