Ten beats Seven in Thursday night TV ratings but Nine wins the night

Ten has beaten Seven in Thursday night’s TV ratings while Nine has managed to win the night with an 18% overall audience share.

According to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings, Ten saw an audience share of 16.4% topping Seven’s 16.1% share.

Meanwhile ABC obtained a 9.5% share ahead of SBS’ 6.7% share.

In the 7.30pm time slot Ten’s reality cooking show Masterchef was the most watched program as 852,000 viewers tuned in.

Coming in second in the time slot was Seven’s new reality TV show The Single Wives, which managed a metro audience of 357,000.

The most watched program of the evening was Seven News at 6.30pm with 981,000 viewers topping Nine News’ 915,000.

In the multichannel shares, 7mate was saw the highest audience with 5% of the metro audience.

Total network share saw Seven win the night with 28.5% of the audience, Nine’s 26.2% beat out Ten  with 22%. The ABC and SBS recorded 13.9% and 9.3% respectively.
