Tennis Australia appoints Clemenger BBDO Melbourne as creative agency of record
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has announced it has been appointed Tennis Australia’s creative agency of record.
As part of its creative duties for Australia’s governing tennis body, Clemenger BBDO will be responsible for brand strategy, growing audience participation, launching the ATP Cup and taking on creative leadership of the Australian Open.
In mid-2018, the rights to broadcast the tennis on free-to-air TV changed hands from Seven to Nine, at a cost of $48.5m. Nine now holds the exclusive rights to broadcast the game in Australia until 2024.

I think many more could have watched if channel Nine worked all the time. For some reason, whenever the tennis started, all the channels in Nine network lost reception. All other channels worked fine. And this is in Bayside where there shouldn’t be any signal problems. It was very frustrating. I hope it will be better next year. Strange that since the tennis there have been almost no issues with channel 9.
