Ten’s 7PM Project clocks over one million, while The Circle stabilises

Ten’s The 7PM Project saw over one million tune in last night, giving the show its highest ratings result in the year to date; while The Circle settled with 80,000 viewers, a marked increase from the 50,000 low it has previously recorded since its February launch.

In overall free-to-air TV viewing Nine won Monday with a 27 per cent share, according to preliminary overnight OzTam data in the main metro markets.

But, buoyed by the top-rating Masterchef, Ten pushed ahead of Seven with a 22 per cent and 21.6 per cent share respectively.

While preliminary ratings for The 7PM Project between the advertised 7-7:30pm time slot puts its share at 995,000, the show which actually went to air at 7:02pm last night, saw its share rise to a record 1.01m.

In the breakfast wars, Nine’s Today yesterday managed to push past market-leader Seven’s Sunrise.

The Today show led in Sydney and Melbourne, taking the overall FTA audience lead with 355,000, just ahead of Sunrise’s 354,000.

And while Seven’s The Morning Show remains the leader among the morning programs with 194,000, followed by Seven’s Kerri-Anne with 138,000, Ten’s The Circle appears to be stabilising, yesterday attracting an average 80,000 viewers.

This is ahead of the 68,000 9am with David and Kim averaged last year – the show The Circle replaced. It is also an improvement on the audience low of 50,000 The Circle has recorded since launch.
