Ten’s ratings week runs out of steam as Nine’s travel theme wins

A disappointing night for Ten on Thursday saw the network lose most of the ratings lead it has built up so far this week.

MasterChef, with an audience of just over 1.5m viewers, was the network’s only show in the ten most watched programmes last night.

Nine won the night with its travel double header of Getaway and Trouble in Paradise both averaging around 1.2m viewers, according to preliminary ratings data from OzTam.

Seven had a split schedule with Sydney and Brisbane getting the epsiode of Thank God You’re Here that was held over from State of Origin night.

Thursday night’s viewing share: Nine 19.8%; Seven 27.2%; Ten 22.7%; ABC 15.7%; SBS 4.6%.

Share for the ratings week is virtually neck and neck, with Ten on 26.7% to Nine’s 26.6% while Seven is on 25.5%.

Ten can expect a poor night tonight with a two hour episode of the US auditions for So You Think You Can Dance.
