Ten’s Sunday line-up performs strongly, except for The Project
Ten has continued to perform well with its Sunday night line up, with four shows in the top ten last night, despite numbers dropping slightly.
The network’s highest rating show was new American comedy New Girl rating 1.24m, according to preliminary ratings from OzTam.
Modern Family followed closely in fifth place with 1.19m viewers, Homeland placed seventh with 1.11m and Young Talent Time placed eighth with 1m viewers.
However, The Project continues to struggle in its new timeslot, failing to make the top 20.
Nine News Sunday won the night with 1.35m viewers followed closely by the network’s broadcast of the one day cricket game between Australia and India (session 2) taking 1.33m.
Seven News placed third with 1.3m viewers.
Nine had the strongest network share across the five city metro with 32%, followed by Seven with 26.3% and Ten’s 23.2%. The ABC had a share of 13.4% and SBS 5%.

Unfortunately Young Talent Time doesn’t look like a winner. Rob Mills grins and gesticulates but he seems to lack sincerity. He’s also badly dressed, so are the kids; they’re talented enough but their outfits were Thrift Shop. The set is awkward, and the talent search segment fractures the format: can’t they make up their minds about what they want it to be? Tina Arena looked sensational but she seemed to be in the wrong show; was she embarrassed? Sad to see a potential hit bombed by pedestrian production values. I wanted to love the kids but didn’t get the chance. As for The Project, it’s pedestrian for sure, but not bad for a giggle if you think trainwrecks are funny.

Hi Rob,
We’ll get back into the top ten (or top 15) when the official ratings season kicks off next week.
Cheers,

Oh i wonder why New Girl is rating well?
Pathetic people who just wanna see a pretty girl with breasts. Bit like Big Bang Theory, crap script, but nice looking girl.
I like to call it “Sell Out Ratings”
