Tesco Clubcard creator named as keynote of first Mumbrella Retail Marketing Summit

Grant HarrisonThe creator of the one of the world’s more successful rewards program, the Tesco Clubcard, will headline Mumbrella’s Retail Marketing Summit.

Grant Harrison led the launch of the loyalty program for the UK-based supermarket in 1995, pioneering the use of big data and elevating Tesco to become one of the biggest supermarket groups in the world; and a leading retailer in the fiercely competitive UK market.

Harrison is now the CEO of The Future Customer, a consultancy which works with business leaders to build customer loyalty and customer service. Clients include, Nectar, the UK’s largest loyalty program, and mobile network, Three.

Harrison joins Mumbrella’s Retail Marketing Summit to present on what retailers and consumer brands should do to drive customer loyalty and engagement to stay ahead of the competition in a multi-channel world.

Experts and brand owners from the retail, FMCG and marketing sectors will present practical and informative sessions on how to open customers’ wallets with data; how to use science to influence customer behaviour; moving beyond the 30-second spot to embrace content marketing; creating engaging in-store experiences; re-launching a brand to turn around sales; creating effective packaging design; and future gazing with innovations that will revolutionise retail.

The one-day event is the latest in Mumbrella’s Marketing Summit series and follows the sold out Travel and Sports Marketing Summits in 2015.

Retail Marketing Summit will be held in Sydney on February 17, 2016.
