SYDNEY, 17 October 2016 Text100 Australia has solidified its position as a full-service marketing communications agency with a new strategic hire and management team to address the rapid expansion of the agency’s services, client and team portfolio.

Text100 Australia’s new leadership team sees Karen Coleman take up the role of Managing Director, with Simon Fitzgerald replacing her as VP of Integrated Marketing. Both leaders have extensive experience in end-to-end marketing and communications campaigns: Karen previously ran sister marcoms and digital agency Bite before its merger with Text100 in 2014, while Simon’s eight years at Text100 has seen him lead some of the agency’s biggest accounts across content, social and digital disciplines.

Senior director Terry Whitaker rounds out the leadership team with 15 years of marketing communications experience in sports, entertainment and consumer lifestyle, joining Text100 from his previous role as Head of Marketing & Communications for Major League Baseball in Australasia.  Prior to his role with MLB, Terry started and ran boutique consumer communications consultancy, Notorious, where he worked with brands such as MINI, LYNX, Nudie, Burton, Mattel, Wagamama and Patrón.

Organic client growth and new client wins has seen Text100 Australia increase its headcount by 25% in the past six months to address client’s needs for integrated marketing campaigns.  Text100 has already strengthened its digital, content and analytics offering with three agency acquisitions in the past two and a half years and has recently added video production, email marketing and experiential services to its growing list of capabilities.

In Australia alone, Text100 manages content and paid media for over 10 brands across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and Snapchat and recent projects also include web development and SEO strategy for major brands including Jones Lang La Salle and Brother International.

Karen Coleman, Managing Director of Text100 Australia, said the agency’s increasingly diversified portfolio of consumer technology, travel and lifestyle clients has proven no matter what the industry, the key to cut-through is creative and compelling content.
