The 2022 FIFA World Cup SUI vs CMR game takes demos; Seven’s The Chase tops entertainment
The Chase Australia on Seven took the entertainment crown on Thursday night, while the network also celebrated an overall network share win.
The game show aired to 456,000 metro viewers, while the FIFA World Cup game between Switzerland and Cameroon on SBS won all three key advertising demos.
In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 17 November, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.239 million viewers, including 30,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 3%. Love Island Australia on Nine had the biggest uplift of 909% and was viewed by a total audience of 353,000, and viewed by 270,000 on BVOD.
Next in Thursday’s overnights, Home and Away on Seven was next in entertainment, drawing in 414,000 metro viewers, while a late viewing of the program pulled in 375,000 viewers.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup game between SUI vs CMR pulled in 344,000 metro viewers, while The 2022 Aria Awards on Nine aired to 243,000 metro viewers.
Meanwhile, Seven News was the #1 metro program on Thursday with 795,000 metro viewers followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 772,000 metro viewers. Nine News at 6:30 aired to 586,000, and Nine News brought in 583,000. Next was A Current Affair brought in 554,000 while ABC News pulled in 496,000 viewers.
In terms of overall share, Seven took the top spot, as mentioned, with a share of 29.5% over Nine’s 27.4%, followed by ABC at 18.9%, and Ten with a 15.7% share.
Seven also secured the top primary channel share with 26.4% while Nine followed with 23.5%. The top-rating multi-channel on Thursday was ABC Kids/ABC TV Plus with a share of 3.4%.
