The Australian appoints commercial editor
The Australian has created a new role in its senior editorial team – commercial editor.
Louise Evans, currently managing editor at the paper, has filled the role.
The move has been designed to “bridge the gap between editorial and the commercial side of the business”, according to a story in the paper today.
Helen Trinca moves from chief leader writer to fill Evan’s former role.
The reshuffle comes as the News Limited title prepares to introduce a pay wall later this year.
Blurring the line, rather than bridging the gap.
