The Australian Turf Club to host Christmas racing events
The Australian Turf Club will be hosting numerous Christmas racing events across Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens and Canterbury Park.

As the festive season approaches, the Australian Turf Club invites guests to usher in the holiday cheer with an exhilarating series of Christmas racing events. Festivities kick off under the twilight on Friday 6 December at Royal Randwick that sets the stage for unforgettable experiences, continuing at Rosehill Gardens and Canterbury Park.
Randwick Christmas Festival Twilight on December 6 is FREE entry for all and will offer an afternoon filled with entertainment, festive fun, and the exhilaration of great racing. Families can have their photos taken with Santa and his elves, as well as beloved characters such as the Gingerbread Man and Frosty the Snowman.
For the first time, ATC has partnered with the Cambridge Markets who will host over 30 beautifully curated Christmas artisan stalls, offering a wide range of handcrafted jewellery, fashionable accessories, organic beauty products, flowers, and even treats for our furry friends. It’s the perfect opportunity to find unique gifts for loved ones while supporting local artisans. Additionally, up to 20 food markets will offer a delicious array of international foods, perfect for the whole family to enjoy.
Renowned jockey Chad Schofield will attend the Christmas festivities across the summer racing season, alongside wife Hannah and their two children. Schofield shared his excitement, saying, ‘This is a special time of year for us. We love spending it with family and close friends, taking a moment to relax and enjoy the festive season.”
On Saturday 7 December, the celebrations move to Rosehill Gardens for the Country Classic Day, where Santa will make a special appearance, spreading holiday joy trackside. The Christmas theming and the enchanting melodies of the Roving Christmas Trio will further enhance the festive ambiance, creating a delightful experience for all attendees.
The annual Ingham Charity Raceday at Royal Randwick on Saturday 14 December will feature Santa as a special guest accompanied by his magical Grotto. The racecourse will be adorned with Christmas theming, immersing racegoers in the Christmas spirit, with the Roving Christmas Trio to captivating crowds with their festive tunes.
The Kia Friday Night Racing Series, held from Friday 15 November to Friday 28 February, will celebrate Christmas on Friday 20 December at Canterbury Park. With free entry, free kids rides, and a visit from Santa. Accompanied with plenty of dining options by Cambridge Food Markets or the brand new seafood stall this Christmas event promises an evening of exhilarating races and a festive atmosphere that will leave the whole family feeling merry.
All race days over the festive season offer premium dining experiences which can be booked to bring together family, friends, or colleagues and kickstart the holiday season with unforgettable Christmas parties! Enjoy trackside views, specially crafted Christmas menus and flowing drinks in a vibrant holiday setting.
As the holiday season reaches its peak, Royal Randwick invites everyone to kick up their heels on Boxing Day, Thursday 26 December. DJs will create high vibes, and roving entertainers will keep the buzz flowing across the racecourse with additional trackside areas open for all general admission ticket holders.
