The Block climbs TV ratings ladder; leaves MKR, The Masked Singer behind

Nine’s The Block topped entertainment on Tuesday, while the network also celebrated an overall network share win.

The program aired to 723,000 metro viewers, also winning all three key advertising demos. The 2022 launch aired to an average metro audience of 867,000. Last year, Nine aired the 2021 premiere of the program to 747,000 metro viewers.

Looking back at Tuesday’s overnights, next in entertainment was The Masked Singer Reveal on Ten, which aired to an average metro audience of 582,000, followed by The Chase Australia on Seven, which aired to an average of 496,000. The Masked Singer full episode aired to 476,000 metro viewers.

My Kitchen Rules brought in 468,000 metro viewers, followed by an episode of Home and Away on Seven which saw a metro audience of 439,000 viewers tune in.

Meanwhile, Nine News was the #1 metro program on Tuesday with 896,000 metro viewers followed by Seven News with 889,000 metro viewers. Nine News at 6:30 aired to 886,000, and Seven News at 6:30 brought in 846,000. In addition, ABC News brought in 590,000, and A Current Affair pulled in 691,000 viewers.

As mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 29.9% over Seven’s 26%, while Ten took a 19.2% share and the ABC had 16.8%.

Nine also won the primary channel share, and the top-rating multi-channel on Tuesday was 7Mate with a share of 3.8%.
