The Block makes it five wins in a row

Nine’s The Block has won every night this week as it leads to its grand final on Sunday.

The home renovation competition took Thursday night’s top spot with 1.586m viewers across the five city metro market according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam.

Nine took the top three spots with Hamish & Andy’s Euro Gap Year averaging 1.411m  and Nine News 1.287m.

Hamish & Andy was the top rating show in the 16-39 and 18-49 demographics while The Block stayed on top in 25-54.

Ten’s Masterchef was third across those key demos despite placing seventh across total viewers with 1.044m.

Stephen Fry returned to the ABC with new series Stephen Fry’s 100 Greatest Gadgets at 9:30pm. The show took 671,000 in total viewers to place 16th overall and second in its time slot behind Nine’s The Footy Show on 742,000. Fry did worse in the key age demos, placing 24th in 16-39, 19th in 18-49, and 18th in 25-54.
