The Chase Australia tops entertainment for Wednesday, while Nine takes total share

Last night’s entertainment programming was topped by an episode of Seven’s The Chase Australia, bring in 574,000 metro viewers for the network, however it was Network Nine than won the evening.

Second in entertainment was Hard Quiz on ABC, which brought in 547,000 metro viewers, followed by the ABC’s The Weekly with Charlie Pickering, with 526,000 metro viewers.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 25 May, Seven News was on top with 1.644 million Total TV viewers, including 41,000 viewers on BVOD with an uplift of 3%. An episode of Big Brother on Seven achieved the highest uplift of the evening, with 48%, viewed by 795,000 Total TV viewers.

Next in entertainment was Ten’s Masterchef Australia with 498,000 metro viewers, also taking out the key 16-39 advertising demographic. An episode of Home and Away on Seven followed, bringing in 490,000 metro viewers, followed by Nine’s Hot Seat with 432,000 metro viewers.

Celebrity Apprentice on Nine pulled in 415,000 metro viewers, while the network’s Travel Guides had 351,000 metro viewers. Rounding out entertainment, Big Brother brought in 323,000 metro viewers, followed by ABC’s You Can’t Ask That with 320,000 metro viewers.

Overall, Seven News topped programming with 998,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6.30 with 981,000 metro viewers. Nine News was next with 857,000 metro viewers, then Nine News at 6:30 with 834,000 metro viewers. ABC News had 662,000 metro viewers, while A Current Affair on Nine brought in 596,000, with ABC’s 7:30 bringing in a further 565,000 metro viewers. The Project on Ten had 384,000 metro viewers and 10 News First brought in 362,000 metro viewers.

As mentioned, the Nine Network took out total share for the evening with 28.4%, followed by the Seven Network at 24.4%. Ten was next with 19.3% of shared, followed by ABC with 18.8%.
