The Chase Australia wins entertainment but Nine takes Thursday

An episode of Seven’s The Chase Australia was the #1 entertainment program on Thursday night, however it was Nine which celebrated the overall network share win.

The Chase Australia brought in a metro audience of 455,000, while an episode of Seven’s Border Security aired to a metro audience of 402,000.

Nine’s episode of Hot Seat was next in entertainment, pulling in a metro audience of 387,000, followed by an episode of ABC’s Barrie Cassidy’s Plus One which aired to 377,000 metro viewers.

The #1 program on Thursday was Seven News, which had an average of 856,000 metro viewers, ahead of Seven News at 6:30 which pulled in 829,000, followed by Nine News with 774,000 metro viewers.

As previously mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 29% over Seven’s 25.7% share, while the ABC had 18.4% and Ten took a 17.4% share.

Nine also won primary channel share while the top-rating multi-channel for Thursday was 10 Peach with a share of 4%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 25 November, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear with 1.471 million viewers including 29,000 on national BVOD and an uplift of 2%.

The program with the biggest uplift however was Ten’s The Bachelorette finale episode which had an 27% uplift on overnight figures and a total of 590,000 viewers overall and a national BVOD audience of 103,000.
