The Chase Australia wins entertainment crown; Nine takes Tuesday

The Chase Australia secured an entertainment win for Seven on Tuesday night’s TV programming, however, it was Nine that celebrated an overall network share win.

The Chase aired to 461,000 metro viewers, followed by a repeat episode of Travel guides drawing in 460,000 viewers. Nine News at 6:30 won all three key advertising demos.

Seven’s Border Security: Australia’s Front Line attracted 385,000 metro viewers, while ABC’s The Stuff the British Stole secured 367,000.

Next in entertainment was Seven’s Hot Seat with a 311,000 metro audience, followed by Dogs Behaving Very Badly on Seven, also with 311,000 viewers.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for Tuesday 22 November, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.382 million viewers, including 34,000 on BVOD, and an uplift of 3%. The biggest uplift of the week was an episode of Love Island Australia on Nine with an uplift of 689%.

Meanwhile, Seven News was the #1 program for Tuesday night, bringing in 860,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6.30 with 823,000 metro viewers. Nine News at 6:30 had 764,000 metro viewers, with Nine News on 692,000 metro viewers, Nine’s A Current Affair had 623,000 and ABC News had 566,000 metro viewers.

As mentioned, Nine won the overall network share for the evening with 29.8%, though closely followed by Seven with 25.7%, while the ABC had a share of 17.8 and Ten finished with a share of  15.5%.

Nine won the primary channel share with 21.8%, but the top-rating multi-channel on Tuesday was 7Two with a share of 3.8%.
