The Chase leads entertainment while Nine takes out total share for Wednesday

Last night an episode of The Chase on Seven topped entertainment, however it was Nine that took out total share for the evening.

The episode brought in 592,000 metro viewers for the network, while Seven News won all three key advertising demographics. Second in entertainment was ABC’s The Weekly with Charlie Pickering with 549,000 metro viewers, followed by ABC’s Hard Quiz on 544,000 metro viewers.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 18 May, Seven News topped the list with 1.601 million Total TV viewers, including 37,000 viewers on BVOD with an uplift of 2%. An episode of Big Brother on Seven achieved the highest uplift of the evening, with 49%, viewed by 802,000 Total TV viewers.

Next in entertainment was Ten’s Masterchef Australia, bringing in 486,000 metro viewers and followed by Seven’s Home and Away with 473,000 metro viewers. Nine’s Hot Seat brought in 433,000 metro viewers and the network’s Celebrity Apprentice also brought in 373,000 metro viewers.

Seven’s Big Brother was next with 349,000 metro viewers, with ABC’s You Can’t Ask That on 346,000 metro viewers and Nine’s Travel Guides on 311,000 metro viewers.

Overall, Seven News topped programming with 1,007,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6.30 with 920,000 metro viewers. Nine News was next with 888,000 metro viewers, then Nine News at 6:30 with 849,000 metro viewers. A Current Affair on Nine brought in 653,000, ABC News hit 651,000 metro viewers and 7:30 on ABC brought in a further 533,000 metro viewers. The Project on Ten had 365,000 metro viewers.

As mentioned, the Nine Network took out total share for the evening with 27.3%, followed by the Seven Network at 26.4%. ABC was next with 20.0%, followed by Network 10 with 17.8%.
