The Coffee Club displays its coffee creds in ad with Nick Cody

The Coffee Club has launched a new campaign featuring comedian Nick Cody via WPP’s VMLY&R.

The campaign is titled ‘Coffee is Our Middle Name’, listing The Coffee Club’s connections to coffee.

In the 56-second spot, a montage is shown of various pop culture moments, parodying the pottery scene from Ghost and superhero franchises. The spot references coffee in some way in each of those moments.

VMLY&R ECD Benjamin Davis commented: “Literally and metaphorically, coffee is their middle name. The Coffee Club’s passion for all things coffee is genuinely exciting, and so is creating work that reaches bravely into new spaces for the category.”

The Coffee Club CEO Nick Bryden said: “The Coffee Club has been obsessed with coffee for almost 33 years, it’s what we think about every day, it’s what we live and breathe.

“This new campaign highlights exactly that, through some hilarious scenes with comedian Nick Cody. This campaign is our biggest and most exciting to date – we cannot wait to get it out there.”

The campaign, produced by Chop Shop, will launch across national TV, paid and organic social, and out-of-home (OOH).

One of the previous campaigns for The Coffee Club, also with VMLY&R, launched a COVID-delayed campaign in November 2020.
