The Conversation links up with US site
Andrew Jaspan’s digital commentary project The Conversation has agreed a tie-in with US-based online research news site Futurity.
Jaspan – a former editor of The Age as well as The Observer and The Scotsman in the UK – c0-founded The Conversation as a source of information and comment from the research and university sector. A not for profit organisation, The Conversation launched in March.
Futurity is a research news website covering scientific news from universities in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia.
The collaboration will see Jaspan work with Futurity’s editor Jenny Leonard. The pair said in a statement: “We agree that there is a natural fit between our sites. Each is committed to better sharing research, expertise and knowledge with the public. Working together makes great sense.”
The Conversation’s partners include Australia’s Group of Eight universities and CSIRO.
