The announcement:

Independent digital agency The Digital Picnic (TDP) has announced a series of key team appointments, marking a new chapter of growth for the agency as it continues to expand its national footprint and strengthen its leadership team.

Following a year of strong performance across its client portfolio, TDP has promoted Zara Jarvis to account director, while welcoming Nicole Coombs as senior social media specialist and Nikita Crockett as social media specialist.

The trio will form part of TDP’s growing team, reflecting the agency’s continued investment in strategy, leadership, and talent development.

Founded in 2014 by CEO Cherie Clonan, The Digital Picnic has evolved into one of Australia’s leading digital agencies — renowned for its people-first culture, evidence-based creativity, and education-led approach to social media and digital strategy.

Working with a diverse mix of brands across lifestyle, government, retail, and corporate sectors, TDP is known for delivering data-informed creative campaigns that drive real impact while empowering brands to thrive in an ever-changing digital landscape.

“We’re in such an exciting period of growth at TDP,” said Cherie. “Zara has been the beating heart of our social department’s evolution, leading with integrity, creativity, and energy that turns ambition into tangible results.

“Nicole brings a remarkable balance of creativity and commercial smarts — she’s strategic, articulate, and genuinely passionate about helping brands build meaningful digital communities. And Nikita’s energy is magnetic — her enthusiasm and curiosity remind us why we love what we do.”

Zara, who has been with TDP for just over a year, said the promotion reflects both professional and personal growth.

“TDP has shaped so much of who I am as a strategist and a leader,” she said. “This role is about continuing to build brave, strategic work with our clients, while investing in the next generation of marketers coming through our team.”

Nicole said joining The Digital Picnic felt like the perfect next step.

“I’ve admired Cherie and the TDP team for years,” she said. “Their balance of creativity and strategy — and their genuine commitment to people — is so inspiring. To be part of this next chapter is a dream come true.”

Nikita added that the move represents a full-circle moment.

“From the beginning of my career, TDP has been my dream agency,” she said. “Their ability to balance culture, creativity, and results is unmatched — I’m so excited to contribute to that energy.”

With continued growth across its social and paid media divisions, The Digital Picnic says it is scaling intentionally — building a team that’s equal parts kind, ambitious, and future-focused.
