The Gemba Group hires Lachlan Wills as junior art director

The Gemba Group has hired Lachlan Wills as junior art director for its creative team, as he celebrates recently graduating from AWARD School.

The announcement:

The Gemba Group are delighted to announce new hire Lachlan Wills and welcome him to the creative team. Wills recently graduated top 10 in NSW at AWARD School and boasts three years’ experience working at Channel Nine, Fox Sports and Kayo.

He joins Gemba as a junior art director to further bolster the sports and entertainment agency’s fast-growing creative department.

“Lachy not only has some great experience and a real passion for sports and entertainment, he’s made a strong impression as a leading AWARD School graduate,” says John Weir, creative director at Gemba. “On top of his fast-evolving creative chops, he’s a great guy with enormous energy, who will add to the momentum we’re generating at Gemba. We’re stoked to have him on board.”

Gemba’s managing director, Andrew Condon, concurs: “This hire confirms our intent to build on our creative strengths, develop new talent and realise our aspiration to be the leading sport and entertainment marketing agency in the region.”

As for Wills, he’s excited to get on board and start making great work: “With my experience at AWARD school and background in sport advertising, I can’t wait to get stuck into it and contribute at Gemba. Working for an agency with their reputation and skill set seems like a perfect fit.”

“Now I just need to find some way to manifest a snowboarding brief…”

Wills will be based out of Gemba’s Sydney office, working alongside Weir, supported by executive creative director Boyd Hicklin and the Melbourne-based studio team.
