‘The holidays handled’: The mission of Christmas is covered by Dan Murphy’s
Navigating Christmas is almost like an intelligence operation, says Dan Murphy’s in this year’s Christmas campaign.
The ad, from creative agency Thinkerbell, shows that from last minute gifts, preventing bad food and wine pairings, and being prepared to host your parents, the liquor retailer has customers covered.
Dan Murphy’s head of marketing, Utadi Murphy, said creating an emotional connection was a priority for the brand.
“This year we were looking for a platform that would create an emotional connection with Dan’s, as well as allow us to showcase our knowledge, value and our quick, flexible delivery,” Murphy said.
“Ultimately, giving customers a reason to think of us for their Christmas gifting and entertaining needs through discovery of our market leading range, whilst trying to raise a bit of a smile and bring some Christmas ‘tingles’ in what’s been a really tough year for all Australians. No mean feat but we think our Holidays Handled platform delivers on all levels.”
The campaign is rolling out on TV, digital, radio, out of home, social and in store.
Executive creative tinker at Thinkerbell, Tom Wenborn, said the brand’s delivery service would help Australians relax over the holidays.
“We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with the Dan Murphy’s team to bring to life Holiday’s Handled. We hope everyone can spend more time relaxing with family and friends, instead of worrying about which Pinot Gris goes best with overcooked turkey,” he said.
