The King’s Speech
From Paramount/Transmission comes this year’s winner of the Oscar for Best Picture, The King’s Speech.
It was co-produced by Australia’s See-Saw films (Emile Sherman) and stars Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter. The King’s Speech is based on the real story of Prince Albert, whose stammering had been the cause of constant public humiliation. The soon-to-be-King finally found his voice with the help of an unorthodox Australian speech therapist, Lionel Logue.
An artistic and financial triumph – a U$15m budget and a U$400m box office!
