Wow great article Glenn. The other thing that would happen if they pulled Simpsons is that all their younger demo that tune in at 6pm generally stay on for most of the night. If they didn’t have that pull at 6pm they would loose ratings in all their other prime-time shows too. Ch9 are stupid putting a news show at 4.30.. there thinking that the first news wins.. its too early, it wont work. They need to target the 6.30 or 7pm time zone and have more content targeted at AB’s to win the corporate audience who don’t get home in time to watch the 6pm news. Works for ABC
ABC actually have a news show FOR kids called BTN (Behind the News). It only lasts 7 minutes and it’s by far the best coverage of all the networks. Highly recommended!

I’m sure the story put out there was a tester… Great way for 10 to get instant feedback…. True Social Media.
Its about the only way to gauge how many viewers are even watching the show as no one can go on the dodgy system of ratings.
If it is the $25k that was mentioned an episode then it makes almost no business sense to even run the series.
How many young crew are even watching? Going on the latest stats a large majority don’t even view free to air any more…
