The Smurfs, Rihanna, Billie Lourd and more feature in new global digital campaign from the UN and UNICEF
UNICEF and the UN’s Act Now Initiative have teamed up with the Smurfs on “a global digital social impact campaign that encourages people, especially children, to speak up, empower themselves and others, and help create a blueprint for a better world”.

Join forces with the Smurfs, the UN’s ActNow initiative and UNICEF in a global digital social impact campaign that encourages people, especially children, to speak up, empower themselves and others, and help create a blueprint for a better world.
The campaign launches with a talent-driven Public Service Announcement (PSA video), starring the Smurfs characters and the celebrated actors who voice them, including Rihanna, Billie Lourd, Amy Sedaris and Hannah Waddingham. The PSA premiered at Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards on June 21st, and starting today will be shown in Times Square and posted across BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Paramount+, Pluto TV, Network 10 (Australia) Chilevisión and Telefe (Latin America) on their broadcast, streaming and social channels.
The PSA has been localized with subtitles in the following languages: Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), Dutch, French, German, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Kiswahili, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian and Spanish.
