News Ltd makes promotions in Melbourne

The Sunday Herald and the Herald Sun has appointed Ellen Whinnett, Tracey Linguey and Cathy Osmond to senior roles.  

The announcement:

The editors of the Sunday Herald Sun and Herald Sun today announced three appointments to key editorial positions within their publications.

ELLEN WHINNETT has been appointed Deputy Editor of the Sunday Herald Sun. Ellen is a Walkley award winning journalist and in her new role will help lead the paper’s news coverage and play a key role in shaping future editorial content. She commences in May.

TRACEY LINGUEY has been appointed Associate Editor of the Sunday Herald Sun. Tracey has held a range of senior roles at the Herald Sun and Sunday Herald Sun in her distinguished career. She will help develop and shape the editorial content and will commence next week. CATHY OSMOND has been appointed Editor of the Herald Sun’s Weekend section.

Cathy joins the Herald Sun from the Courier Mail’s successful Q Weekend magazine where she was Deputy Editor.
