The team behind The Squiz launches Squiz Kids

The team behind The Squiz has launched their third podcast – Squiz Kids – hosted by Bryce Corbett.

The announcement:

Since The Squiz kicked off our weekday Squiz Today morning email in March 2017 and podcast in May 2018, we have helped thousands of Aussies stay on top of the news with our shortcut to being informed.

We recently asked Squizers what else they wanted from us, and they gave us a clear message. To address their concerns about finding a safe place for their kids to get a regular serve of quality news, they wanted a short podcast specifically for kids.

And so, from 28 January 2020, as Aussie kids head back to school, they can do so armed with the knowledge of what’s going on in their world as we launch a new weekday news podcast, Squiz Kids.

Brought to you by the same team behind The Squiz Today and Squiz Shortcuts podcasts and emails, Squiz Kids will be hosted by journalist, author and father-of-two, Bryce Corbett. He answers some questions about the podcast here.

Squiz Kids will drop at 7.00am eastern time each weekday during the school term with an easy-to-digest snapshot of the news designed specifically for 8-12yos.

In less than 7 minutes, it will give kids the rundown on the big news events unfurling around them. And while we won’t shy away from hard news stories, we’ll also make sure there’s plenty of kid-friendly content from the worlds they inhabit too.

Squiz Kids is designed to easily slip into families’ morning routines. Play it over breakfast, or listen to it in the car on the school run. It’s also perfect for teachers to play in the classroom.

And of course, it will be delivered in The Squiz’s signature style – with positivity, humour and free of opinion.
