The Voice tops Sunday entertainment and helps Seven win the week

The Voice Australia has topped entertainment on Sunday, as the show won the ratings week for Seven.

The episode aired to a metro audience of 768,000 metro viewers, however it was Nine’s Lego Masters that won all three key advertising demos, with the program bringing in 652,000 metro viewers.

Seven took the week ending 30 April with a network share of 31.6% over Nine’s 27.3%, while Ten finished the week on 17.1% and the ABC with a 15.5% share.

Seven also managed to win the primary channel share for the week, with a 22.6% share ahead of Nine’s 19.2%, and the top multi-channel for the week was 7Mate on 3.7%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 24 April, Sunday’s Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.275 million viewers, including 24,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 2%. The biggest uplift of the week was an episode of Barons on ABC, and an episode of Life also on ABC both with an uplift of 54%. Next was Nine’s Lego Masters with an uplift of 49%.

Looking at Sunday’s ratings, and next in entertainment was An Audience with Adele on Seven which aired to an average metro audience of 483,000 viewers.

Ten’s MasterChef saw an average of 460,000 metro viewers tune in.

Nine’s 60 Minutes saw 456,000 metro viewers tune in, followed by ABC’s Grand Designs which had 409,000 metro viewers.

Meanwhile, Seven News was the #1 metro program on Sunday with 957,000 metro viewers followed by Nine News on Sunday with 983,000 metro viewers. ABC News brought in 542,000.

Seven won the night, taking an overall network share of 33.3% over Nine’s 28.4%, while Ten took a 17.2% share and the ABC had 12.7%.

In sport, Sunday’s AFL game between the Sydney wan and Brisbane Lions aired to a metro audience of 379,000, while Sunday’s NRL game between the Balmain Tigers and the St George Illawarra Dragons aired to an average metro audience of 249,000.

Seven also won the primary channel share, and the top-rating multi-channel on Sunday was 7Mate with a share of 4.7%.
