Tim Murphy steps down as NZ Herald editor-in-chief
APN News and Media owned New Zealand Herald is searching for a new editor-in-chief after the incumbent of the last decade Tim Murphy announced he is stepping down after 13 years as editor and editor-in-chief.

Tim Murphy, Editor-in-Chief of the NZ Herald has decided to step down after a stellar 30 year career with the company. Murphy has been Editor-in-Chief of New Zealand’s premier newspaper for the past three years and Editor for 10 years before that.
Jane Hastings, CEO of NZME said: “Tim has guided the NZ Herald through some of the most dynamic years in the paper’s history including changing format from broadsheet to compact in 2012.”
