Tinder joins list of ‘rainbow’ brands supporting Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras

Tinder has jumped on board as a sponsor of 2018’s Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

Tinder ‘is going completely rainbow’

The partnership involves supporting the festival which runs from 16 February and culminates in the parade on 3 March.  Tinder will have a float in the parade and will also host an ‘interactive space’ on Fair Day (18 February) “to help experienced swipers and curious newbies get the most out of their Tinder experience, and make meaningful matches throughout the carnival”.

Jonathan Badeen, co-founder and chief strategy officer at Tinder, said the brand was proud to celebrate diversity.

“Everyone is welcome on Tinder. Participating in Sydney’s Mardi Gras is one more step towards our commitment to the community around the world – from our recent Pride celebrations in the US, UK, France, Germany and Spain, to many future events and efforts that celebrate diversity,” he said.

Terese Casu, CEO of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras said: “We are very pleased to welcome Tinder to partner with us at the 40th anniversary festival. We look forward to celebrating love with them as they continue to show their support for the LGBTQI+ community.”
