Tom Rankin joins 303 MullenLowe as general manager of media

303 MullenLowe has appointed Tom Rankin as its general manager of media.

Rankin departed his previous role as group business director of Starcom after just seven months.

Prior to his seventh month stint at Starcom, Rankin was the group director at UM, joining in 2013 from Ikon Communications.

In his new role as general manager of media, Rankin will be responsible for managing client relationships with TK Maxx, Harley- Davidson, Fujitsu Australia, Braintree, Netflix and Western Union.

Speaking of his appointment Rankin said he believes a full service model is the way of the future for communications agencies.

“I’m excited to be in an environment where we can solve any media challenge using a mix of creativity, PR and great thinking,” he said.

Andrew Livingston, chief media officer at 303 MullenLowe Mediahub, said in a statement: “As we continue to strengthen our media only credentials, Tom will play an important role in not only adding weight to our media offering, but also support our vision to build an integrated proposition that taps into 303 MullenLowe’s creative capabilities.”
