Tourism Malaysia launches smartphone app

The tourism body for Malaysia has launched an app that helps travelers travels around the Southeast Asian country.

The announcement:

Tourism Malaysia Sydney has launched a free smartphone app called Malaysia Amaze-Ya!, designed to provide travellers with a useful tool for navigating their travels in Malaysia. The app is available for both iPhone and android and offers general information on key destinations in Malaysia as well as handy tips for the best attractions in Kuala Lumpur, Sabah and Penang.

A must-have for anyone travelling to Malaysia, the free downloadable app lists the best places to Explore, Eat, Shop and Stay in Kuala Lumpur, Sabah and Penang. It provides contact details and detailed Google street maps to ensure a fuss-free holiday. The app is simple to use; travellers can either click through categories or search by keywords to find exactly what they are looking for. The weather in Kuala Lumpur, Sabah and Penang is also provided, making daily activities easy to plan.
