Triple J’s Hottest 100 raises $250k for Greening Australia

Triple J’s Hottest 100 countdown raised $250,000 for its charity partner Greening Australia.

The announcement:

Triple J’s 2019 Hottest 100 raised over $250K for Greening Australia

In a historic year when the 2019 Hottest 100 broke the voting record and Billie Eilish became the youngest and first female artist to top the poll, we also celebrate another win, this time for the environment.

More than 4,800 awesome triple j listeners donated over $250,000 to Greening Australia.

Greening Australia are part of the coordinated response to bushfire recovery by running tree-planting projects across the country to restore natural environments, cool our cities, save endangered animals and pull carbon out of the atmosphere.

Thank you to all the generous donors, and as Greening Australia CEO Brendan Foran said to Veronica & Lewis on-air, “We’re gonna plant that money!”

If you haven’t already, you can still donate to Greening Australia and be part of the regeneration of Australia.
