TTOC absorbed into TAFE NSW – North Sydney Institute

The Television Technical Operators College has been fully transitioned to NSI, with courses developed to address film/TV industry skill shortages. It has been renamed TAFE Technical Operations Centre.

Last year it was announced that the transition would be made for ” long-termsustainability.” General manager Peter Musgrove told Encore that economic conditions undermined the TTOC’s funding model, but its training model was “an undisputed success”, having produced 50 graduates in Television Technical Operations and 1150 participants in their short courses over two years.

According to an NSI spokesperson, TOTC’s general manager and the trainers also moved across and remain the same.

Courses are accredited by TAFE NSW and endorsed by the Industry Advisory Group (IAG), which includes all Australian Broadcasters and all major facilities and equipment providers.
