Gogglebox takes entertainment while Seven wins Thursday
Last night Ten’s Gogglebox took out the top spot for entertainment with 543,000 metro viewers, also winning key advertising demos 18-49 and 25-54.
Next in entertainment was Masterchef Australia on Ten, which brought in 510,000 metro viewers and also took out the third key advertising demo, 16-39. Seven’s The Chase Australia followed with 500,000 metro viewers.
In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 21 April, Seven News was the top program nationally across linear with 1.439 million viewers, including 33,000 on BVOD, with an uplift of 3%. The programs with the greatest uplift were Ten’s Gogglebox and MasterChef Australia, both with an uplift of 30%. Gogglebox brought in 925,000 Total TV viewers and 28,000 on BVOD, while Masterchef Australia had 828,000 Total TV viewers and 96,000 on BVOD.
In entertainment, Home and Away on Seven also drew in 433,000 metro viewers, while Nine’s Hot Seat had 419,000 metro viewers.
Overall, Seven News topped programming with 910,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 898,000 metro viewers. Nine News followed with 824,000 metro viewers followed by Nine News 6:30 with 781,000 metro viewers. ABC News had 611,000 metro viewers, then Nine’s A Current Affair with 563,000 metro viewers.
In terms of network share, Seven was the overall winner with 26.9%, just ahead of Seven’s 25.9%. Ten was next with 21.7% and ABC finished with a 16.7% share
