TV Wrap: Bathurst 1000 wins entertainment but Nine wins week

Seven’s Supercars Championship: Bathurst 1000 race was the #1 entertainment program on Sunday night, however it was Nine that took the overall win.

The race brought in a metro audience of 747,000, while the last 15 minutes when the winner was announced won all three key advertising demos. The last 15 minutes of the episode saw 816,000 metro viewers tune in.

Next in sports entertainment, was Seven’s Cricket: Big Bash League opener which saw the Sydney Sixers post its highest-ever total in record win over Melbourne Stars, and pulled in a metro audience of 454,000.

In non-sport entertainment, ABC’s Death In Paradise aired to 454,000 metro viewers, while an episode of David Attenborough’s A Perfect Planet on Nine brought in 372,000

ABC’s Total Control saw 367,000 metro viewers tune in, followed by Ten’s The Project which aired to an average of 313,000 metro viewers.

The #1 program on Sunday was also Nine News which aired to 936,000 metro viewers, while Seven News had 880,000 metro viewers.

As mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 31.8% over Seven’s 28.4%, the ABC took a 17.4% share while Ten had 15.6%.

Nine won the primary channel share by .1% over Seven, while the top-rating multi-channel on Sunday was 9GO! with a share of 4%.

Nine also took the week ending 4 December with a network share of 29.8% over Seven’s 26.5%, while the ABC had 18.3% and Ten took 16.1%.

Nine also managed to win the primary channel share for the week, with a 20.7% share ahead of Seven’s 18.5%. The top multi-channel for the week was 7TWO on 3.6%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 28 November, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.412 million viewers, including 26,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 2%.

The program with the biggest uplift however was an episode of ABC’s Total Control with an uplift of 48% and had a total of 798,000 viewers overall, and BVOD audience of 115,000 nationally.
