Twitter adds Ashes emoji for cricket fans

Australian cricket fans will be able to add an Ashes emoji to their tweets this summer, Twitter today announced.

The announcement;
Pack away your jumpers and break out your singlets and thongs, because the #Ashes are back on Australian shores! Having suffered a 3-2 loss to the English in 2015, The Baggy Greens are out to prove a point on their home tracks.
For those looking to show support on Twitter, there are a number of great hashtags you can use to show your colours. For the first time ever, The Ashes Urn has been immortalised as an emoji and will appear after every use of #Ashes. For those less impartial (all of us), #BeatAustralia is Cricket Australia’s (@CricketAus) call to arms.
Twitter have also partnered with Cricket Australia to bring near live #Ashes video highlights to Twitter users. These clips will give fans a front row seat as the most exciting moments unfolds, along with wraps ups for those that didn’t have a chance to sit and watch the day’s play.
But which athletes are Twitter fans most excited to see? According to your Tweets, here’s the most tweeted about team of players (representing both sides):
