Twitter introduces new explore tab on app

Twitter has introduce its new ‘explore’ tab to the application, allowing users to find trends, moments, search and live video all in one section.

The announcement:

Twitter introduces Explore

There are many ways to see what’s happening on Twitter. In addition to your timeline, trends show you what topics are being discussed right now, Moments capture the most popular stories so you can catch up, and Search helps you find anything and everything.

Until today, you had to go to a few different places to find each of these experiences. As part of our continued efforts to make it easier to see what’s happening, we’re bringing all these experiences into one. Very soon, you’ll be able to find Trends, Moments, Search, and the best of live video, all within the new Explore tab.

Over the past year, we’ve heard from you that it’s sometimes hard to find what you are looking for on Twitter. Because of this, we’ve been exploring different ways to make it simpler for people to use Moments, Trends, and Search. During these tests, customers told us that the new Explore tab helped them easily find news, what’s trending, and what’s popular right now.

Nothing is going away – we’re just making it cleaner and easier to find what you want. Explore will be rolling out today on Twitter for iOS, and in the coming weeks on Twitter for Android. Make sure you have the latest version of your app to check it out. And of course, we will continue to listen to your feedback and make Explore even better based on your feedback and some ideas we have up our sleeve!

Anyone on Twitter can now create and Tweet live video with the latest Android and iOS updates.
