UberX customers receive surprise Porsche ride in new campaign
Ridesharing app Uber and car brand Porsche have teamed up to give every day UberX customers a surprise ride in the latest Porsche Panamera sedan as part of a new campaign via Mango.
Leading up to the 2017 Rolex Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, the 20 best UberX drivers in Victoria drove around Melbourne picking up unsuspecting Uber customers, taking them to their destination in the new Porsche.
Spearheaded by public relations agency Mango, the campaign captures the reactions of customers, filming snippets of their journey to make a 45-second content piece.
Paul Ellis, director of public relations and motorsport at Porsche Cars Australia, said: “We’re delighted to be working alongside the world’s best ridesharing app Uber, to surprise consumers with a premium and memorable experience. The Rolex Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix is the premier motor sport event in Australia, so there’s no better time to showcase the latest in Porsche automotive design, quality and innovation.”
The campaign will run until the opening of the Grand Prix in Albert Park on Monday.
