Unilever reappoints Universal McCann following global media review

Universal McCann has retained Unilever’s media planning and buying account in Australia following a global review of the FMCG company’s agency roster.  

In New Zealand, Spark PHD has also retained the business. In other markets, Mindshare has been reappointed to handle media in Western Europe, North America and Canada.

Last month, PHD was appointed to handle the media account in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

It closely follows news that Unilever’s first chief marketing officer, Simon Clift, is set to leave after 30 years with the FMCG giant, to pursue “other creative opportunities”.

Unilever brands include Dove, Lynx, Lipton, Magnum ice cream and Omo laundry detergent.
